Elementary Summer Institute 2024

This session will focus on the models and language we use to support students in gaining a deep understanding of place value. We will examine how it is introduced in early elementary and how these ideas connect with place value concepts and operations in later elementary.  Time will also be spent discussing the importance of flexibility with place value knowledge and what this looks like with students.
